How can you become a professional video gamer?

How do you become a professional video gamer that plays in tournaments for games like Super Smash Bros. and Sonic, as well as other games?|||first you have to get really good at games then you gotta go to a small tournament and win there then continue onto other tournaments and eventually move higher and continue the process untill you become professional|||in SSB do team battle, put CPU's to lvl 10 and change them so they're all against you, Sonic....depends on what console/version, but it's pretty much practice for ~5 hours a day and you'll see yourself improve|||Um... Just be a nerd. Lol, just kidding. I have no idea though lol.|||what i did to be a PRO video gamer is play a game 10 hours a day and the next days the same, and beat the whole game 3 times or more, thats what i do :-D but i have been doing this since i was 5 years old :-||||Well you have to do alot of gaming...And I MEAN ALOT...You have to know the game from all of it's side...And specialize in a specific game...If you try to master all different kinds of game...U wont be able to master.But be specific...|||You really have to be very vercitile in all games. Shooter, Strategy, Puzzle. You also must be familliar with several game systems, because you never know which one you'll have to use. Oh yeah, and PRACTICE. You have to PRACTICE day in and day out. Although, it would be a good idea to keep a job, like in the grocery store, or better yet, a game store. If you think you're good at a game, you aren't doing well enough.
