Can your gamer score on Xbox Live be cashed in for points?

i've heard of a way for your gamer score to be traded in for market place points, is this true? and how can it be done?|||this is untrue, gamer points are basically worthless and only have meaning to nerds.|||LOL, no.|||ROFL - no way in Hell. It would be awesome if you could though.
