How do you recover a gamer tag/Gamer profile on xbox 360 when the windows live id has been closed?

Hi im trying to recover my gamer tag/profile for xbox 360 thing but my brother closed our windows live account is there any way i can get it back or is it gone for good?|||No you can recover it! If you have live now theres an option to recover it it cost like 400 xbox points. You'll have to buy the little card at like walmart or something
