Is there a way to move a gamer tag from one hard drive to another?

I'm getting a used Xbox 360 for Christmas but I already had a gamertag on my brothers. Since he moved i rarely get to play it anymore and i would not like to start my gamer score and pick a new gamertag again with the new Xbox. Is there a way to put my old gamer tag from his hardrive to mine?|||Yes use a Memory card, or if you are online and remember your email and password you can recover it onto your xbox hard drive. You can not move your save files with out a memory card though.
