I just bought a 50inch sony HDTV and figured to get a console system as well for entertainment.
After some research, I found the prices of xbox 360 RE Red console for $320 and the ps3 (80gig) for $320 as well online... So which system would you suggest for a not big gamer?|||PS3 is better. It has games from all genres. 360 mainly focuses on shooters whereas PS3 has a variety of games in all genres. Also, it has Blu-Ray which is as added benefit (trust me, the 50" will bleed out life like images with Blu-Ray).
If you do not have any budget issues, then PS3 is the best choice as 360's have a bad reputation of breaking down (RROD-30% failure rate). PS3 has better exclusives lined up this year. The thing comes packed up with wifi, Blu-Ray, Bluetooth, FREE online (360 charges to play online).....
For a casual gamer, PS3 has a lot of choices. It comes packed in with great features and has a tremendous line up in 2009-10 (when I mean tremendous, I really mean it.... Nearly most of them AAA titles. The 360 hardly has a decent exclusive coming out this year apart from Halo:OSTD). PS3 is the ultimate media centre out there.|||For ease of use, the PS3 was harder to use for me and I'm a very experienced gamer. The xbox can be used by my dad who completed metal gear solid (original!) with me when i was 3 and it took him 6 months on easy. hmm. You may think that the live is expensive, but it is way ahead of Playstation Network, and there is such a huge range of games and also family settings if you have little ones. You could check out both xbox.com and playstation.com|||get your self a ps3 mate! the ps3 is ten times better than a xbox 360.
if you buy a 360 it will get the ring of death which is a bump cos ya console is broke and microsoft wont replace unlike sony they will replace if breaks which is unlikely! you get more for ya money with a ps3 blu ray built wi fi free online gaming better graphics better looking quiet unlike the noisy 360 that over heats!

ps3|||I have a PS3 and I'm not a huge gamer at all, to tell you the truth you'll like the PS3 a lot better, because of the blu-ray player.|||get an xbox 360 if your not a big gamer you can just talk to your friends and meet other people.and games i suggest left 4 dead and gears of war 2|||Get a Wii...the best selling console of 2008! Most games now are being released on Wii...it is more for casual gamers.
