How Long does it take to Become Pro Gamer?

Was wondering how long it takes to become a Pro Gamer? Like I'm pretty damn good at Halo 3 and was thinking When Halo Reach comes out I can try and become a Pro Gamer. I know that i need lots of Time and Practice and that's the easy part. How long does it take really? I've won a few tournaments in Halo 2 but stopped for education reason. I know I can be a Pro just want to know how long it could take.|||It really depends how into the game you are.
